Happy Mother's Day ladies!

I hope you have a beautiful day today spending time with your loved ones.

Being a Mum is one of the most special things about my life.  

I feel so lucky and privileged to have the opportunity in this lifetime to be a Mum.

Its something I hope I never take for granted.

I made four Mother's Day cards this year.

One for my Mum, Ben's Mum, Ben's Nan and me!

I used bits and pieces from the Close to My Heart range including cards from the Picture My Life Chantilly Scrapbooking Program, Happy to be Friends Stamp set, Cotton Candy ink, Pixie Extra Thick Twine and Flamingo Dots.

I followed the same sketch for all four cards.

"Choose Happy" Close to my Heart Birthday Cards

Hello! 

I'm sharing lots of birthday cards today!

I made this set of cards following the same sketch, just using lots of different coloured papers.

If you want to follow the sketch you can head over to Chris' Facebook Page to see it and you can win a lovely prize.  I really wanted to build my birthday card collection up a little....it takes such a workout! Each month I send out lots of cards, so I am always on the look out for birthday card ideas.  And it is always easier to copy the same design a few times to make a few more cards quickly.

I used Copic markers to colour the border around the sentiment to match the colours in the papers.

I only have three of the Close to My Heart markers and I used those three colours in this card below.

I made the top two cards first, then I kept going a few days later and made some more!

I liked these colours...yellow, purple and blue.

The yellow ribbon and green ribbon below are not Close to My Heart Products.  They are from my stash, but everything else is Close to My Heart.

This last green and black card was a different colour combination for me.  But I actually liked how it turned out.

(For yesterday, here in Australia).

I made this range of cards following a similar sketch but changing the colours up a little and changing the elements around a little bit.

These cards are made using Close to My Heart papers - Heart Strings.

I love the little Heartstrings Mini Badges.

Love Ya Silly Valentines...

I made these cards for the lovely Chris over at her blog Christine's Capers.
I used a cute little Valentines Monster Stamp "Love Ya Silly" from Close to My Heart's Seasonal Expression Catalogue.

I was going for a clean and simple look...and I tried to match and co-ordinate the colours for a bit of interest.  Chris has listed all the products I have used and where to get them here.  Being the super lady she is, Chris has made up a sketch to go with these cards.  Hop on over to her blog to check it out and play along!

Teachers Have Heart Gifts and Card

There are certain times in the year when we all thank the teachers who look after our kids.

I made these little Post-it note holders when you need little gifts to say "Thank you" to special teachers.  As a teacher, I know how handy little post-it-notes are on your desk to scribble down a reminder, email address, to-do note etc so when I saw this pattern for making them I just had to give it a try.

This was a really simple craft activity.  You could easily whip these up the night before you needed them if you had to! The stamp set I used is Close to My Heart's Teacher Appreciation.

Birthday Wishes Card ~ "Lovely Birthday" Stamp Set

You can never have enough birthday cards right?

This was a little quick one I whipped up awhile back now and its been waiting to be shared.

Very simple.

I have been very busy working behind the scenes on a big project for my Dad's 60th Birthday.

Its all finished and mailed off to my Dad now.

I promise to share it on here once he sees it himself, probably next week.

and came up with this set of three cards.
