Southern Girls DT - Anything Goes

Goodmorning Blogging Buddies,

Well...this morning had just gotten away from me today! I was up half the night....and then phone calls, emails and looking for a model rocket in the middle of all the paddocks...has set me back and now I am trying to get back into the day! Also we are having a family New Years Eve party at our house and I only just realised that it will be tomorrow night! Eeek! I have my days all mixed up at the moment.

Anyway can you see me gorgeous little fairy card? Us Southern Girls were spoiled with this lovely image from Deb at Deb's Creations. This little cutie is part of the Emerald Faerie Collection exclusively at Deb's. We all loved playing with her. I decided to keep my card fairly simple and keep the image as the focal point. I used scraps of DP and stitched them together. I got my inspiration for this from one of the talented designers at Aussie Cards for Sale: Linda...check out her gorgeous cards here.

So what can you win at Southern Girls this fortnight???

For our Aussie or NZ winner Trace and Lou are our sponsors this week.

For our international winner we are being sponsored by Deb's Creations.

No excuses this fortnight...link up your anything goes card at Southern Girls to be in the running for these great prizes!!!

Before I go I might enter my faerie card in this challenge:

Purples: BV08, BV17, B63, BV13
Yellows: Y15, Y02
Skin and hair: E37, E35, E33, E31, E00

I used some purple hydrangea flowers and added pearl brads to the centre.

Last Minute Christmas Cards

Hi Blogging Buddies,

Now you are going to think I am crazy...but I am still making Chrissie cards!
These are for my sister and I have made eight of them. She wants 25 but she is going to do the rest herself...long story about why they are so last minute and I wont bore you with the details but they are VERY last minute!!

(Appologies for the photos, I had trouble avoiding the glare)

You would not believe that I am out of red cardstock! I had one A4 sheet left...that was it! I did order what i thought was red card stock, but it tuned out to be orange - yuck! I made these cards with whatever I had in my stash.

I used the digi image sentiments from Bizzy Becs and I kept these cards very simple.
My sister bought these little red and white dresses from Pumpkin Patch especially for Christmas and she wanted the "country" look, hence they are wearing their riding boots. They posed on the cattle ramp at their house.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

The ABC Challenge - K is for Keep it Simple
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
Creative Craft Challenge - Anything Goes

I am now going to try to cross a few more things off my list, including wrapping presents and making Bon Bons. Wish me luck!

Mad For Markers - DT - Anything Goes

Goodmorning Blogging buddies,

This morning I have two little cards to share with you that I made quickly a few nights ago.  My auntie requested some birthday cards for girls so I quickly got to work and came up with these very simple ones.  The DP is Prima packaging, which I just love and I added some flowers, ribbons, lace and a simple sentiment.  I coloured in the fairy with Copics (of course)

Pinks: RV13, RV23, RV02
Skin: E21, E00
Hair: E33, E31, YR31

The second card I used a chipboard stem and Prima flowers to make a simple flower.  I coloured the chipboard in with a green copic marker (G14) and then inked the edges with Vintage Photo ink.  I inked the edges of the flower too so it has a distressed look as well.

Sometimes simple cards are nice...in fact I find myself steering more and more to making simple cards....hope you dont mind!

A Quick Card Collection

 Hi  Blogging Buddies,

I have had a very busy time lately.  We have lots of family down at the moment and we have been having a lot of family get-togethers.  Also I went to the markets with my cards today and I had a very successful day.  I have been trying to prepare for the markets, but I kept running out of time so last night I had a card-making "cramming" session.  You know how you "cram" before an exam the very next day?  Well that was me last night making cards until midnight and then getting to the markets at seven this morning.

I managed to get about ten done and here are some of them using the DCWV Mariposa Butterfly stack.  I kept them pretty simple...they sold well...I only brought a couple home with me this afternoon.  I even sold the Mothers Day one...so someone is very organised! LOL

I would like to enter a few challenges for these:

Flutterby Wednesday - Butterflies
Crafty Catz - Your Choice
All Sorts - Anything Goes

I'm off to organise dinner.

Hi Blogging Buddies,

Today I have been baby-sitting my five-year-old neice so I havent had much of a chance to blog or craft, but I wanted to share this little bag.  I decorated this yesterday for a Secret Santa present and I took it to a Christmas party last night.  You had to bring a $10 gift.  I filled mine with three red Christmas tree decorations.

The bag originally was plain white with black rope handles.  I took out the rope and replaced it with silver ribbon and then decorated it.  I was happy with how it turned out.

I would like to enter some challenges:

The Pink Elephant - Winter Wonderland
Sew Many Challenges - Winter Project
ABC Challenge - Jewels and Gems
Allsorts Challenge - Last Minute Christmas

I'm off to get ready for a family dinner at the Leagues Club...so I better hop to it!
Thanks for visiting.

Southern Girls DT - Vintage

Good morning Blogging Buddies

It is a rainy Thursday morning here...peerfect for me to attack my ever-growing Christmas to-do list! I hope to make some quality progress today!!

I am excited to be posting my DT card for Southern Girls this morning.  The theme is Vintage.  Iove having a go at vintage...its fun to distress all the papers and try to make it all look old I think.

The music note paper I ripped out of an old hymn book I bought at a second hand book shop then I put rub-on Prima flowers on top of it from the Annalee collection.  I also used a journaling card from the same collection and I put another rub-on, which is the quote, on top of the journaling card.

I found the photo on the internet and changed it to Sepia on Photoshop...well I think I did...as it looks more black and white to me...but the original was in colour.  The card has a love theme because it is for my hairdresser who has just gotten engaged.  I dont know if she likes vintage or not, but I thought a Vintage engagement card would be something a little different.

I added cream lace, love heart ribbon, love heart pearl hat-pins, a true love sentiment sticker and some flowers.  Then I decorated the inside of the card as well.  I like how the music notes come through the rub-on flowers.

There are some fantastic prizes up for offer, as always, at Southern Girls!

Whimsy Stamps are giving our international winner 5 digital images of the winners choice!

The winner of the Aus/NZ draw will a pack of 20 A5 sheets of Xpress IT card, a set of three markers and a colourless blender refill kindly sponsored by Sammi at Mad 4 Markers.

Head on over to Southern Girls for some fabulous inspiration by the Design Team and to link up your vintage card, project or layout.

I would like to enter this card in a couple of challenges:

Beary Sweet Challenge - Pearls or Gems (pearl hat pins)
