Cute Little Goat Card

Hi Blogging Beauties,

Hope you are having a lovely weekend.  I have been super busy with card-making...in preparation for Mother's Day next weekend.  The cards have been selling like hotcakes at Aussie Cards for Sale...and I have been making, making and making.

This card I made this morning for my sister.  Her daughter was going to a b'day party today.  It was for a little boy who lives down the road and he lives on a farm where we got our goat Millie from.  I printed off a goat colouring in page from the internet and pasted him on top of  CC Designs fence that was already coloured from ages ago.  Hope he liked it!

I can feel the scrapbooking bug coming over me again.  I am such a wannabe scrapbooker...that   doesn't get there very often...and the LOs I make I often hate...however I am very persistent and determined not to give up!!  I think what I struggle with the most is the unfinished nature of a scrapbook album.  With a card it is created and you give it away...done! With a scrapbook album I tend to start and stop and never get back to the completed album.  Well maybe this time I will!!

Stay tuned.  I am hoping to show you some LOs soon!  Thank you so much for reading my ramblings and a big cheery welcome to my new followers.

Paper Play DT ~ Use an object not intended for crafting!

Good evening Blogging Beauties,
Today is Thursday and that means Paper Play Day!
This week we are very kindly sponsored by Waltzingmouse Stamps - one stamp set of winner's choice.  How cool! They have really nice stamps...wish I could enter!!

This week's challenge is "Use an object not intended for crafting" - like coins, cans/jars, shells, cardboard box bits etc..... and is set by DT member - Karen.  So let's get creative and have fun!

I used a cake box we received as a gift when we attended a wedding in Japan.
It was originally yellow.  I painted it pink inside and out...coloured my image, added some lace, ribbon and a doily and it was finished.
It is fairly plain.  I tried adding flowers, but they all seemed too big.
So of course I can give it the clean and simple label!

This is probably my favourite Magnolia stamp at the moment and I coloured her with Copics:
Skin: E21, E00, R20
Hair: E47, E57, E35, E31
Pinks: RV06, RV04. RV02

Head on over here to see the other fantastic inspiration by the DT and to link up your creation!

Thanks for popping by!
Have a lovely evening,

Pinks: RV06, RV04, RV02

Winner of my Candy...and Birthday News!

Hi Blogging Beauties,

I have been wanting to do this post for a few days...but life seems to be very hectic at the moment.  It was my birthday on Friday and Ben and I went away to Sydney for a few days.
I had the best birthday ever!! We shopped, ate out and watched movies.  It was a perfect day.  I couldnt have asked for anything better!

I received some beautiful hand-made cards and goodies in the mail and was so spoilt.  I really felt I had to share these with you!  The top card was made by the talented Aussie Cards for Sale designer - Fran Ashton.  I just love the gorgeous colours, those cute Maggies and those beautiful flowers!  Fran spoiled me with a selection of gorgeous candy.  Thank you so much Fran!

This next gorgeous card is made by another talented designer at Aussie Cards for Sale (and fellow Mad for Markers designer) - Michelle Gissel.  She knows I love these Anya stamps I think!!  I love the neutral colouring on this card and the pretty papers!  Michelle spoiled me with a selection of yummy candy as well...how lucky am  I, thank you Michelle.

This cute little Aussie Koala card is by my long-time blogging friend Carol Dee.  Carol is my most faithful follower commenting on every single post! Amazing I know!! When she visits Australia she is going to come and stay with me!  I love Carol's sweet card. Carol gave me a kangaroo book "thong" or book mark...so lovely, thank you so much!  I will put this to great use.  Thanks Carol.

Sammi, my gorgeous boss over at Mad for Markers treated me to this beautiful card.  I love the image and the sentiment!  This card has such a lovely feel to it...I want to fly like this cute little fairy!  Sammi spoiled me with some Copics...how lucky am I!! You know how much I love my Copics!  Thank you Sammi.

Aussie Loz another talented designer at Aussie cards for Sale sent me this little cutie!! What a gorgeous Maggie card!  So elegant and feminine.  Loz spoiled me with some delicious candy that I will be certainly putting to good use!  Thank you so much Loz!

Amanda Wyber, again, another talented Aussie Cards for Sale Designer made this card for our friend Chris to give me.  Amanda made me another card too, but it got stolen in the post! Can you believe that?? Someone slashed open the envelope and took it for themselves! All that turned up in my mailbox was the empty envelope!!  It was obviously a very much wanted card!!  I love the colours in this card the lemon and the green...so pretty and summery.

Lucinda Coleman, another talented Aussie Cards for Sale Designer made me this gorgeous card...in my favourite colour - blue.  I love the stamps, papers and colours in this card! Wow! It is beautiful.  Thanks Lucinda.

And last, but not least this card was made for me by my husband Ben.
I have to apologise for the crummy night-time photo for this one.  The colours dont show up as nicely in this photo.  He coloured it all by himself and then made the card.  I think I will have to get him onto making more cards for me to sell.  This talent cant be wasted : )!!

Finally, I wanted to share with you the winner of my candy from last week:

Linda W

Congratulations Linda!!! I will post you out your Edwin stamp tomorrow!

I will put up a new candy soon.

Thanks for making it to the end of this post!
Have a lovely evening.

Florist Course headbands and Corsages

Hi Blogging Beauties,
Just a few pics from my florist course.
We have learnt how to make headbands.
I am not very good at wiring, but I am getting better.
The photo above is my head, but Leona's head band.

This is Tania (lady in my course) modelling her headband.

This is me modelling my orchid head band.
(I didn't get it all finished so am holding it on for the photo.)

This is my orchid wrist corsage.

This is Leona's Wrist Corsage.

This is my tall table decoration.

It has been nice to make some new friends at the florist course and to learn new skills.
I hope you have had a lovely weekend.
Ben and I went to the markets on Saturday and to a birthday lunch at Mum and Dad's today.
I have made heaps of cards and am very behind in my blogging.
I hope to catch up with it all over the next few days.

Thanks for visiting,
Alicia xx
