Kaisercraft Sage and Grace Card

Kaisercraft Sage and Grace Card by Alicia McNamara

Hello Crafty Friends,

You wouldn't believe this card took me about 15 minutes to make would you?  Well its true.  This was a last minute rush card that came together so well... isn't it nice when that happens.  I was running late on a Kaisercraft deadline and I was happy to make it quickly one night while the boys were in bed amongst my mess in the craft room ; )

The Sage and Grace collection is a real beauty...I love this style of collection by Kaisercraft...so feminine, pretty.  This card has a lot of dimension and will certainly need a big envelope.

Thanks for stopping by...

Final Post for the 2015-2016 Kaisercraft Design Team

Kaisercraft Forever Card by Alicia McNamara

Over at the Kaisercraft Blog we are officially farewelling the 2015-2016 Design Team Members and it is a little sad! We were asked to choose a couple of projects to share as some of our favourites from the year gone by.  I chose this Forevever Card I made for my brother and his fiance when they got engaged and this Magic Layout below using the gorgeous Fairies collection of papers that I love.

I remember making this layout and refusing to try and make a "flat" layout any longer.  Relieving myself of the restriction that a layout had to be "flat" to fit into an album felt so good and I loved filling this space with lots of flowers, butterflies and sparkles.  It would have to be one of my favourites.

Luckily its not a sad good bye for me on the team.  I am super honoured and privileged to have another year with Kaisercraft that is just about to start, and I really am very excited to kick off next month with some gorgeous new projects.

I would like to sincerely thank you, my beautiful blog reader, for following me on this journey.  I appreciate your comments and I appreciate you reading my posts.  You make this whole journey so much more meaningful : )  Stay tuned this week for the announcement of the new Kaisercraft Team, until then have a lovely week : )

Kaisercraft - "All That Glitters" Cards

Birthday card

I really do love this "All That Glitters" Collection by Kaisercraft.
After making a card for the Kaisercraft Design Team Application here I really wanted to keep using these papers and collectables.  So I kept to my original sketch and made a birthday card for my sister (above).

Happy Wedding Day Card

And then two more wedding cards.

I love the Gold Chevron, the Fuchsia pink, the butterflies and the flowers.
This collection really inspired me.

A Wedding Card for a Friend

Gold, Black and Cream Wedding Card

One of my friends is going to a fancy wedding and requested an elegant wedding card.
I made about four designs and then finally came up with this one that I was happy with.

It is simply one piece of designer paper matted onto black card.  Then layered onto gold card and adhered to the black card base.  I printed the sentiment off my computer onto the gold card and layered it onto black again.  I adhered the sentiment in the lower third of the card and then I added two gold embellishments.

Very simple, but elegant.

I am busy working behind the scenes on some easy Christmas Designs for a school activity day.  I have been asked to come and make cards with some young students in a couple of weeks. I am busy making up kits.  I think I will have 30 children in the group and I am looking at making between 5 and 8 different designs.  I promise to keep you posted with what I come up with.  They might give you a little inspiration or motivation with your own Christmas cards.  Christmas is only 50 sleeps away now I think!!

Are you making your own Christmas cards this year?

My Candy Winner, Some New Candy and a Pretty Card...

Hi Blogging Beauties,
I am so happy to announce the winner of my Magnolia Candy today...put up some new candy and share a pretty card with you.

First up the card....

I made this for a lady in my Florist Course who is a bridesmaid in this wedding and the colours for the wedding are purple and aqua.  So she wanted a purple and aqua card.  I was happy with how it turned out.  I think the colours are very pretty.

Secondly the winner of my latest candy is....

CAROL!!!!!!

Congratulations Carol, I will post this little angel Maggie out to you asap!

Finally my new candy.  A little change on the Maggies...but I have more stamps on order...I have signed up for the new Maggie Stamp Club specifically for candy purchases.  Cant wait till they arrive so I can share them with you!!  But today I have something a little bit different.  Some SU Watercolour Crayons.  These have hardly been used.  I purchased them and played with them just a little, but since I bought my Copics they have been unloved.  I would love to give them to someone who might like to have a try with a little watercolour magic!  All you need to go with them is a paint brush with water, or you can use the aqua painter from SU or the Blender pen.

As you can see they really are almost brand new.
To use them you touch the tip of the crayon with your brush or blender pen and then colour your image.  Alternatively you can apply the crayon to the paper and then use a brush to spread the colour.

If you would like to enter all you need to do is sign up as a follower and leave a comment on this post.  You dont have to re-post it on your blog, so it will only take you a few moments before you hop off somewhere else!

I choose the winners the old-fashioned "name out of a hat way".

Thanks for popping by,

Alicia xx
