Kaisercraft DayDreamer - Instagram Photo Mini Album

Hello Crafty Friends,

Most of us are on Instagram these days, or Facebook, or if we aren't on social media, chances are we have lots of photos on our phone that could be printed out and made into a little Mini Album.  I have collected a couple of cute little photos of our boys on Instagram and I thought would be nice to turn them into an album.  (But this little album that I made would suit any photos really)

I used the new Daydreamer Collection by Kaisercraft.  It is modern and fun and filled with positive quotes.

This was quick and easy to put together.

I chose a colour palette of black, white, grey and a touch of peachy pink.  I printed all my photos out in black and white to match the papers.

I coloured the little wooden flourish embellishments with a black Kaisercraft Glitter Pen.

The pages of this album measure 11.5 x 11.5 cm or 4.5 x 4.5 inches.







Nicky loved looking through the album, and it is a little snap shot in time of where we are right now.  What are your thoughts would you make a little mini album like this?  It would even make a cute gift to give to a friend...

Kaisercraft Layout - Class I Taught

Awhile back now I was asked by the very lovely Alison Bevis to come and teach a class.  I had to design a Layout and the kit for the class.  This was the Layout I made using Kaisercraft's P.S I Love You Collection.

I had such a lovely time teaching this class.

The technique I was focusing on was layering.

I used a beautiful photo of two of my very good friends getting married.

Kaisercraft 2017/2018 Design Team Application with Process Video

Hello Blogging friends,

Time to apply for the Kaisercraft Team again.  It comes around quickly enough! This will be my third time applying to be on this amazing team.  We received a lovely package from Kaisercraft to create with which features the beautiful Lilac Whisper Collection, due to be released in July.  I wanted to make a Mini Album, but I didn't have any bases to begin with.  I went to K-mart looking for some sort of Mini Album and I found this clipboard.  I have never made an album with a clipboard before and I couldn't see any on Pinterest, so it was a bit of a risk.  Especially as I only had one weekend to make my project.

I asked my Sister-in-Law for some of her wedding photos.  I needed fresh material and something amazing.  She came up with these.  I love these photos of her getting ready on her special day.  She made a beautiful bride.

I wanted to make a layered Clipboard Album.  I had no pattern, so I improvised.  Looking at the finished product I can see lots of room for improvement, but that is how it goes when you make something you have never made before.  I wanted to make something a little different to what I normally make for the application.  

I began with choosing the papers for the pages of the album.

I decorated all the pages first.  For the back two pages I used some of the Kaisercraft Templates.  I chose a full 12x12 template for this page because I wanted to make a diagonal line with the template.

My desk/craft room was a big crafty mess for the whole weekend as I worked my way through this project while Ben looked after the boys.  A Mini Album takes lots of time to make.

I collected all the embellishments and Collectables on a plate so I could easily access them on my messy desk!  My favourite part of making this album was designing the little clusters of embellishments.

Kaisercraft Sage and Grace Publication - "Love Layout"

Hello Crafty Friends,

Now that I am going back through all my Sage and Grace projects and blogging them I can see how much I really loved this collection.  You know that you love a collection when you can just keep making things out of it!  I'm not sick of this collection yet...

This was the first Layout I made with Sage and Grace, months ago and it is extra special because it is featured on the Kaisercraft Blog for the month of May and published in the Kaisercraft Magazine...on the front cover!! This was my first time at every being on the front cover of the magazine.  An incredible honour!!

This Layout is a photo of me on my wedding day back in 2002.

I enjoyed making this layout and have written instructions for anyone who might be interested in re-creating it.  They can be found on the Kaisercraft website here.

Still a few more Sage and Grace projects to share with you yet.
