New Publication - Amy Tangerine "Stitched"

Just popping by today to share a newish Publication in Australian Cardmaking Stamping and Papercraft Magazine Vol 22 No 4.
I made this set of 10 Quick Cards using the Amy Tangerine "Stitched" Collection.  I was also super honoured to write a few paragraphs for the Inspiration Board in this magazine on Page 49 if you have a copy of the issue.
I really admire the way these cards were photographed.  I love the spools of colourful thread in the background.  It is such a thrill to see your own cards published in a magazine...every time I have to pinch myself...I find it so hard to believe they are mine : )

Amy Tangerine Card

Just popping on quickly this morning to share the card I made at Spotlight when I saw Amy Tangerine last week.  I slapped this together in about 3 minutes.
Amy was talking about a challenge her and some friends were doing where you had to scrapbook a layout within 15 minutes and only were allowed to use a certain amount of products.  The goal was to encourage people with a limited amount of time to scrapbook (that would be nearly all of us!) and also to not get too caught up on what products to use.  Well, you know me, I loved that idea.  I love making things fast and I love making things with limited products.  So this card was inspired by that "lets just get it done and get it done fast" sort of approach.  There wasn't enough paper cutters to go around so you can see I hand cut this paper.  Amy challenged us to use one of her paper clips and a sticker or two.
I think I could make twenty cards like this in about 20 minutes. That would get my birthday stash up and running!!!  Maybe I should challenge myself to this!
Here is another Amy Tangerine card I made awhile back. And lots more Amy Tangerine cards on this post.  You might be interested in having a look at her papers.
Thank you so much for your encouragement on my lounge recovering project.  It felt so good to have your confidence behind me! I am making good progress.  I have done the base of the lounge.  Now I am up to the cushions.  (Left the hardest part till last!) I will blog a post about it.  It is looking good so far.  When you see the before photos you will understand why almost anything would be an improvement on the original ha ah!
Have a great weekend,

I met Amy Tangerine!!

Hello!
Today I am popping in for a quick little post. I went into Spotlight today to meet Amy Tangerine!! She is so glamorous, beautiful and friendly! We made a little card and I also picked up ten metres of furnishing fabric.
I am recovering our lounge - eek!! I have wanted to do it for so long.  I saw some fabric on sale and bought it! Now I just need to pull it off ; ) Its totally DIY... so I will have to share how it goes. I am more than a little nervous, but I just keep saying to myself I can do it! LOL
I have been making so many cards and blogging none. I hope to improve my blogging.
Hope you are well xxx

Some Published Cards

Hi Blogging Friends,

I dont know about you, but I can feel the busyness of the season hyping up a bit.  I am starting to get a bit frantic about presents that I havent bought yet and the fact that I havent sent out my Chrissie cards.

No hand-made ones from me this year.  I am using the free ones that Becky Higgins has on her site here.  Just add a photo and print them out and you are done!  I am really hoping mine will be delivered from Big W online tomorrow then its just put them in envelopes and post them out.

This card above was published in the latest Stamping, Papercraft and Card making Mag as well as the second one from the bottom.  Featured on Pages 58 and 59 if you have the current issue.

The products are American Crafts - Amy Tangerine Sketchbook

I LOVED these papers and embellishments.

I had a ball making these up for the mag and my fave of all is the very last card.

I have been using every spare minute I get when Nicholas is sleeping to work on my Project Life.

I have a few goals I would love to achieve by the end of this calendar year...

We will see how I go!

Love to you all,

Happy Christmas shopping!!
