Baby Girl Cards - Saturated Canary + Copics

Copic Coloured Baby Girl Card

We welcomed two baby girls into our circle of friends and family in January.  I chose to use these Saturated Canary images for their cards and I coloured them with Copics.

The colours I used were:
BG49, BG34
RV29, RV09, RV06, RV04, RV13, RV02, RV00
E49, E37, E15, E49, E33, E02, E11
R20, E50, E51, E53, E55
W-0, W-2, W-3

For these cards I printed the digi stamp and sentiment out together onto the Xpress paper.
You can see on the card above the sentiment wasn't exactly centred (don't know what I was thinking here! I didn't even notice until I had it all coloured and was adhering it to the card!) so I used some pink gems to fill in the gap.

On the second card the sentiment was more in the centre thank goodness!
I had a go at shading in a shadow beneath where she is sitting.
I think my shadowing needs a bit of work.

I was aiming for a clean and simple card with the image being the focal point.

I made two of these little gifts to accompany both the cards.
A simple Ikea Frame and a 4x6 card from Close to My Heart Picture My Life Chantilly Scrapbooking Program.  Hopefully something that might be nice for the Nursery.

Free Printable Sentiment - Big Sister

Saturated Canary, Copics

I am sharing the second card I made for my friend.
See the first card here.
This one she is giving to the big sister of the new baby.
Again I didn't have a sentiment I could use so I made this one.
Admittedly it is not a common sentiment you need often, but you never know, if you tuck it away now you might just need it in the future!

Because my friend wanted something extra special I thought a bit of colouring would be nice. I used these Copic Colours:

RV21, RV34, RV29, RV00, RV09
R85, R32, R20
R85, R32, R20
E11, E21, E15, E33, E37
C-0, C-1, C-3
BG 49, BG34
Y28, Y11, Y38, Y17
YR07, YR23

So if you are keen for a free sentiment; here it is!
I have added a page to my blog where I will upload my free sentiments.
Be sure to check it out here.

Congratulations on becoming a big Sister

Edited to add:
I made the Top 3 for this card at PDE Linky Party.

Have a beautiful day : )

A few little creations and a pretty big announcement...

 Hi Blogging Beauties,

I havent posted for a few days...life has been busy with working and tutoring....but I think the busiest part of my week is over.  When we went to the Mad for Marker's Conference we received this gorgeous little book bound of xpress paper.  It was blank and we happily stamped images onto the pages to practice our colouring.  I thought I would show you a few I have done.

The first one was me colouring the front cover.
This next one is this cute La-la princess stamp.  I have put her on a card since and will share that with you later this week.

This next one is "No-Lines" attempt.  (My first go ever.)  It was stamped in light pink memento ink and then coloured in.  It was so tricky.  Then I practised drawing in the footpath and adding some grass.

This last image was my "Crazy Mermaid" attempt.  I challenged myself to use colours I normally wouldnt, like the darker skin and the orange hair.  Annette suggested I do the scales with Spica pen which turned out really pretty.  She is wild though!!!

Last of all...my announcement...I am having a baby!!
We are very excited as this will be our first baby and we have been trying to have one for so long.  We conceived him/her through IVF and we are 15 weeks pregnant.
Here is a little pic of our baby...can you see him/her??

I have been feeling very well...tiredness is really my only complaint and I am quite happy to cope with that.  Just wanted to share my exciting news with you.

Thanks for popping on over to my blog.

Mother's Day Card - For a Super Mum!

Hi Blogging Beauties,

Anything Goes is the challenge this fortnight at Southern Girls.  How easy is that!!
Link up your card here for great prizes from Simply Betty and The Stamp Fairy!

I made my card for my Mum for Mother's Day.
She loved this card.
I coloured with Copics:
Skin: E21, E00, R20, E02
Hair: YR68, R17, R59, E08, YR61, R37
Lips: R59, R37
Blue Dress: B00, B05, B02

I made these flowers with felt paper, kindy glitz and pearls.

The sad news is that Milly our goat had to be put down by the vets today.
Ben and I are devastated.
We dont know why she was sick.  It has been a very traumatic day.
We planted a tree in her memory.
We loved her very much.
