Kaisercraft ~ Quick and Easy Cards using July Collections - Part One "Little One"

Baby Cards - Alicia McNamara

The cards I would like to share today are made with the "Little One" collection.  This is a bright and modern baby range with lots of cute little graphics and appropriate baby colours.  All of these cards I'm sharing today were made using the card panels designed by Kaisercraft.  Did you know Kaisercraft makes 12x12 paper that is specially designed to help you make quick and easy cards?  In the Little One Collection there are two 12x12 papers to look for.  One is called P1888 Chloe and the other is called P1889 Cooper.  Here is a little picture of them both:
P1888

P1889

To make cards using these papers I suggest buying three 12x12 sheets of each colour.  This allows you to cut and layer the bits and pieces and really make the cards "pop".

You will also need the following Kaisercraft supplies:
PP974 Paper Pad - Little One | CT832 Collectables - Little One | CS224 Clear Stamp - Little One |EM926 Lace Pack - White | ST908 Epoxy Stickers - Sea Breeze | ST911 Epoxy Stickers - Monochrome | ST912 Epoxy Stickers - Candy | T314 Double Sided Tape 6mm | T303 Foam Tape | T322 PVA Craft Glue 125ml | CD101 12x12 Weave - Coconut | IP719 Black Ink

I also added some little googly eyes to some of the animals.

To make each of these cards simply follow this basic sketch below.  Cut and layer the templates for the background and centre shape with mounting tape.

Basic-Sketch

Cut a strip of paper from the 6 1/2 Paper Pad for the horizontal strip behind the centre shape.

I added some lace or a strip of paper or a die cut element along the top and bottom of each horizontal strip.  A little tip is to only apply the lace or die cut element on the part of the card that is showing with just a little tiny overlap.  This saves our supplies.  No point wasting good lace underneath paper where nobody will see it!

I added a little doodling with a black felt-tip pen to define some borders of the elements.  I rounded the corners of my card bases to match the rounded corners of the card panels.

I added some Epoxy stickers for a little bit of added dimension.  Have you seen Kaisercraft's Epoxy Stickers? They come in lots of different shapes and sizes.  I think the stars and love hearts are my favourite.

I added some Collectables to the front of the card with Double Sided Tape.

The matching Clear Stamp Set for this range is perfect for making baby cards.  It is dedicated to sentiments! These sentiments are spot on! Just what you need for decorating the inside of your card.
CS224

I chose two strips for the top and bottom of the inside of my card.  I doodled a little border to tie it all together.  Then I stamped a sentiment onto the middle of the card base and decorated with a few Epoxy Stickers.

Baby Girl Cards with Kaisercraft Pitter Patter

Kaisercraft Pitter Patter

Everyone in my family and friendship circle this year is having babies! And they all seem to be little girls!  This year it feels like I have made more baby girl cards than ever before.

Kaisercraft Pitter Patter

These sweet little vintage baby cards were made with Kaisercraft Pitter Patter 6 1/2 inch Paper Pad and the matching Collectables.  Then I just added a little Kaisercraft cream lace and a few ribbons from my stash.

To make the cards I simply layered the Collectable onto a frame and popped them up with mounting tape.  I layered some pretty pink paper to the background of the card and added some lace and ribbon.

Super easy, super quick.
Now I just need to go shopping for two cute little presents to match.

Baby Girl Cards - Saturated Canary + Copics

Copic Coloured Baby Girl Card

We welcomed two baby girls into our circle of friends and family in January.  I chose to use these Saturated Canary images for their cards and I coloured them with Copics.

The colours I used were:
BG49, BG34
RV29, RV09, RV06, RV04, RV13, RV02, RV00
E49, E37, E15, E49, E33, E02, E11
R20, E50, E51, E53, E55
W-0, W-2, W-3

For these cards I printed the digi stamp and sentiment out together onto the Xpress paper.
You can see on the card above the sentiment wasn't exactly centred (don't know what I was thinking here! I didn't even notice until I had it all coloured and was adhering it to the card!) so I used some pink gems to fill in the gap.

Copic Coloured Baby Girl Card

On the second card the sentiment was more in the centre thank goodness!
I had a go at shading in a shadow beneath where she is sitting.
I think my shadowing needs a bit of work.

I was aiming for a clean and simple card with the image being the focal point.

I made two of these little gifts to accompany both the cards.
A simple Ikea Frame and a 4x6 card from Close to My Heart Picture My Life Chantilly Scrapbooking Program.  Hopefully something that might be nice for the Nursery.

Saturated Canary Baby Card

One of my friends asked me to make a card for her, for a special baby girl that has just been born.
I didn't have much on hand in terms of baby sentiments so I decided to make one of my own.
If you would like to use it too I have included it at the bottom of the blog post.

Baby Card in Bright Summer Colours

Hello,

This is an older baby card I made.

I need to get thinking baby cards at the moment.  I have lots of friends and family who will be having new babies soon. This is a little Digital Delights image you can pick it up, and lots of other little cuties here.
