Male 40th Card

Hi Blogging Buddies,
I made this card for my husband's family who are all going to a surprise 40th tonight.  We can't go because Ben is going to MotorCross and we are in Newcastle tonight staying with our good friends.  Mum is kindly watching over our animals.  The request for the card was a male silver 40th card...so thats what I tried to create.  It was fun and simple really.  I used DCWV Alphabet Stack.  Do you know I have nearly used every single piece out of this pad of 20 12x12 set.  If I see it again anywhere I am going to buy it because I love it so much!  I cut out the number 40 on my Cricut.  I cut it out three times each time a little bit bigger so it gets that layered effect.  Then I covered the top layer in Kindy Glitz.

I would like to enter two challenges:

Crafty Creations - Show a Number
Cards For Men - Happy Birthday

Thanks for popping over and visiting today.
I hope you are having a lovely weekend.

Paper Play DT Card - Cupcakes Inspiration

 Hi Blogging Buddies,

My appologies for being "missing in action" this week.  Where has the week gone?  I worked two days, babysat my 2 year old neice Molly today and have been working on two very large card orders...I have been staying up very, very late and havent blogged for a few days.

Today is Thursday which means it is PaperPlay Day and this time it was my turn to set the challenge.  I went for a photo inspiration.  I do love cupackes and I had this cute little Meljen image I was keen to use.  So I picked these colourful cupcakes for a little inspiration this week.

I followed the colours as close as I could and went for pastel colours.  I coloured with Copics and here are the colours I used:
B02, BG01, B00, Y06, Y08, Y17, YG41, YG06, G14, RV06, RV04, RV13
The papers were all scraps of this and that.  I added some little gems and some kindy-glitz for sparkle.  I drew on some faux stitching with a silver gel pen and added some pink organza and pink gingham ribbon.

I would like to play along with the following challenges:

Digital Tuesday - Sew Special
Papertake Weekly - 3 of a kind (3 Cupcakes)
Fab'n'Funky - Yummy, Yummy, Yummy

Don't forget to pop on over to Paper Play and link up your cupcake inspired project.
Thanks for visiting me.

Fairy with Attitude

Hi Blogging Buddies,
I have a fancier card to share today. I have been doing a lot of simple sets lately to get my card stash up, but this one is a more detailed card.
I made it with SS Sparkels a digi image from Stitchy bear Stamps aka "Fairy with attitude". I have used her once before and I really love her! This time I coloured her with many colours and gave her a darker skin tone.

The Copics I used are:

Skin: E35, E33, E31
Hair: 100, C7, C5, C3
Outline: C3, C1
Greens: G07, YG06, YG03
Blues: BG01, BGo5, BG49
Pinks: RV06, RV04, R37

The bright and colourful papers are from The Craft Garden from the Prima Paisley Road Collection you can buy here.

These flowers were white but I coloured them with Copics to match the image. You can buy these flowers here at The Craft Garden. I held them together with a metal brad.

I would like to enter the following challenges:
Cowgirls - Girly Girl
Fab'n'Funky - Use a Digi
Flutter by Wednesday - Use a fairy/angel
Digis with Attitude! - Use metal (metal brad at centre of flower)

Tomorrow and the next day I am going to work and will be on a Kindergarten class...time to get back into it! Hope your week has started out well. Thanks for visiting.

Here Comes the Bride...(and groom)...

Hi Blogging Buddies,

I have been spoiled today and have been able to craft all day long...what bliss! I have been busy making cards but today I want to show you some cards I made a few days back...these wedding cards. I dont usually make wedding cards...but am trying to get into it a bit more.

(Speaking of weddings...yesterday I took all our wedding negatives to the photo shop to get them put onto a cd. We got married in 2002 and the photographers were still using negatives back then...so it will be fun to have them on the computer and check them out. I will have to blog a couple so you can have a sticky-beak.)

I used an image from Bee Crafty. I like this image because of it's simplicity. I coloured with copics and paper pieced the dress and his suit. Then I put kindy-glitz all over the dress. I started off with the copper organza ribbon, but then it ran out :( so I had to go for black with white polka-dots. I inked the edges of the paper doily with Vintage Photo ink and then glimmermisted it. I layered some Friskars DT on top of copper card and then black.

I thought I would play along with a few challenges:

A Spoon full of Sugar - Sparkle and Shine
Digital Tuesday - Ribbons, buttons and/or bling
Allsorts - Song Title (Here Comes the Bride)

Thanks for visiting...I hope you had a nice weekend.

Some Christmas Cards and a few photos...

 Hi Blogging Buddies,
I have some Christmas cards to share this morning.  I made them a few days back now, but havent had a chance to post them yet.  They are clean and simple.  Three different designs and six cards altogether (two of each design).  I made them with stamps from Stamping Sensations and the sentiment is SU.

I stamped everything with SU Real Red ink and matched it with some SU Design Paper and different shades of green card.  Can you believe I am all out of green card stock! I need to put in an order asap.

 I would like to enter

And now for some photos for you...

The lambs Jack and Jessi are still growing!
