2. Share 5 things about myself.
3. Pass the award onto 5 other Bonny Blogs.
4. Add links to my 5 chosen Bonny Blog Winners.
5. Let them know they have been chosen to win the Swap Sisters Bonny Blog Award by leaving a comment on their blog.

Five things about me...

1. I love Hot Chocolates and Tim Tams.
2. I think I could be addicted to the internet.
3. I often wonder about the meaning of life.
4. I want to travel more and am hoping to go to Thailand in my next holidays.
5. I am grateful for so many wonderful things in my life and try to say and write gratitude prayers often.

I am breaking the rules by not linking the names or letting the people know about the award...I would like all my followers to come and take this award.  I cherish your comments dearly and appreciate your friendship.  I talk about my "blogging-buddies" to my hubby and my family...my hubby understands, but some of my family think I am a little crazy!  I dont mind.  I love making friends and especially living in the country...I dont know anyone here yet who likes card making so I love to share my interest with you!

Some cards to share...

Good evening Blogging Buddies...
I am back from my weekend away visiting friends and so am behind in all my comments.  I promise to catch up tonight or tomorrow night and see what I have missed out on!
I wanted to post these cards I made last week...another set of six...working on my stash again.  I wanted to "whip up" some Thankyou cards because I remembered this is what got me making these bulk cards in the first place ~ my sister wanted to buy off me a set of "Thank you cards" and I thought I would make up several sets....then I got way side-tracked and began making all sorts of cards and forgot about her request...slack I know, but she may have forgotten about her request too because we havent spoken about it since!

So anyway I made this little set up  to mix and match with some others I have made (and some I hope to make in the future) and finally give her a little pack of a variety of "Thank you cards".  This is what the inside looks like:

And this is what the cards look like individually.

They are all fairly similar...just a few differences here and there.
I thought I might enter these in:
The Crazy Challenge - Forest Friends/Back to Nature
and

I have been very lucky to be a Top 3 Winner this week at One Stitch at a Time Challenge.  Can you see the badge in my sidebar?  They frame your card and that becomes the badge - pretty cool I think!  Thank you so much to the Design Team for choosing my card!  I am honoured.

I taught a 5/6 class for most of the day today and then a K/1/2 class in the afternoon.  I actually had a really nice day...sometimes a rarity on the Casual Teaching circuit.  I hope tomorrow is just as nice when I go back to the 5/6 class again.

I hope you are had a nice weekend and a happy Monday.  Thanks for popping over to my blog.
Take care,

Guest DT Card for Raise the Bar

Hello Blogging Buddies,
It is Friday! Yay!  Last week I was in the Top 3 for Raise the Bar and that means that this week I get to be a Guest Designer! So much fun!  Their challenge for this week is:

"Pearly Whites"

I had a lot of fun making my card.  I havent made a lot of white cards in the past.  I always love it when people emboss white card so I did a bit of that...incorporated some pearls, soft white ribbon, a pearl button and some silver touches to give some contrast to the card.  The two little hat pins had a pearl at the end of each, but I threaded on some more pearl beads and clear ones to fill up the stick part of the pin.  The leaf is a SU die cut and the hearts are a SU punch.  The card is Whisper White and the silver is from the Metallics pack from SU.

I thought this would make a nice wedding or engagement card.  Why dont you pop on over to Raise The Bar and enter a card.

The next few days are going to be pretty busy for me.  We are visiting friends this weekend and then I go to work for two days on Monday and Tuesday.  I will try to pop in and blog a little, but I will see how I go.  I would like to wish you all a lovely weekend.  The sun is out here...I think I can feel that warm weather coming!!!

PaperPlay DT Card - Recipe

Hello Blogging Buddies,
It is Thursday and that means time for another PaperPlay Challenge.
This week it is a recipe challenge:
  • two DP's
  • 3 flowers
  • 1 ribbon and
  • a charm

This week we are being sponsored by Stitchy Bear Stamps and this gorgeous fairy I have used is called "Sparkles" and you can find her here. I have nick-named her "Fairy with Attitude" because I think she looks like that.
I chose to colour her in pink and black Copics to suit her attitude and covered her in Stickles.
I found papers to match from DCWV. The pink one is from the Blossoms and Butterflies set and the silver and black one is from the Alphabet stack.

Have you ever popped over to the Stitchy Bear Stamps Store? Wow! They have a lot of digi images...and they are having a 99cent sale at the moment. They are also looking for some artists to design for their store...if you have always wanted your designs on a stamp why dont you head on over and check it out!
Back to my card...in the photo above you can see my silver ribbon and cute love-heart shaped ribbon buckle. And in the photo below you can see my three flowers all stacked on top of each other. I cut them out on my Cricut, added a black button and my charm, tieing them both with the silver ribbon.

Last week in our challenge we had 444 entries!! Wow!! So many people joined in with their "Anything Goes" creation...I wonder how many people will join us this week.
I hope you do : )
I would like to enter my card in:
Magical Monday Challenge - A Pixie and Fairy Dust
Fussy and Fancy Challenge - Pink and Black
Bee Crafty Challenge - All About the Image
Thanks for popping on over to my blog for a visit today...can't wait to see what everybody makes with their recipe ingredients.

A Set of Six Beach Cards

I saw the challenge over at the Craft Garden for Beach Huts and I followed their link to the free Beach Hut digi image at Little Musings. This challenge inspired me to make this card above for my Uncle whose birthday is coming up soon. I wanted to amake a set of six cards and so I had the DPs and ribbon completed for each one. So then I went on to make this card...

Perhaps a girlier version. I found these flowers in a drawer I hardly open and thought...
they go perfectly. Then I made a few flower cards.
I folowed the sketch from Sweet Stampin' Challenge Blog.
Then I finally made another Beach Hut card...this time with some brighter colours.
I would also like to enter the "Something Old, Something New" challenge at Crafty Angels. The old is my old blue flowers. The new is the digi image. I would also like to enter the "Scenic Route" challenge at Lots to Do (my scene is the beach) and Crafty Calendar Challenges - "Summer".

Today I got my car washed...it hadnt been washed in very, very long time and we want to trade it in for a ute...so it needs to be sparkling! I also went to the hairdresser and got a book printed for school. Three jobs and after that I came home exhausted. There is something very tiring about going to town. Ellie ran back to Mum and Dad's early this morning so she has spent the day back down there with their other dogs. I will have to go and get her again tomorrow. I think she might miss her furry companions...even though she has more freedom here at our place.

I dont have any plans for tomorrow except for a Chiropractic appointment in the afternoon...so who knows what the day will bring! Lets hope a bit of card-making!

Thanks for visiting,

A Sunny Day

Yesterday was the most beautiful sunny day...Ben and I went for a walk down our road and I took my camera.  This shot above is one of Mum and Dad's paddocks.  (They live next door to us.)  This is a crop of Oats Dad has sown.
This photo is the blossoms on our Almond Tree.  I thought they looked so pretty against the blue sky.  I am learning to really appreciate the seasons living here and I wanted to capture this so I could remember it.

I have been card-making but I dont have anything to share yet...I will hopefully post something tomorrow....I have been working on a package of six cards today.

I have been lucky this week and have won Top 3 at Die Cut Dreams and Raise The Bar.  Last week I won Top 3 at Cowgirl Up Designs Sunday Challenge.  I am very proud and honoured.

I really hope you had a great day today...
