Tutorial for Colouring a LOTV Bear

Hi Blogging Buddies,
This is my first ever Video Tutorial I have made. Please be kind!! I am not the best videographer out there (or editor for that matter)!! But it was fun to make...and not so fun to try and upload to utube! Have a look and let me know what you think.

Mad For Markers - DT - Untraditional Christmas Colours

Hi Blogging Buddies,
I have used another LOTV Christmas bear on this Chrissie Card - hope you aren't sick of them yet...I love them!

The papers and colours are very un-traditional...but the paper kind of looks like it has snowflakes...not sure you can see them as I pretty much covered the whole thing with extra large flowers!

I used the following Copic Markers:

Browns: E47, E37, E35, E31
Turquoises: BG09, BG05, BG01
Shadows: BG10, C-1, C-3

I have a tag hidden on this card...can you find it under all those flowers?

I would like to enter the following challenges:

One Stop Craft Challenge - Christmas Cuties
OSAAT - Celebrate in Style - Bling it Up
I did it Creations - Surprise Me

Don't forget to head on over to Mad for Markers and upload your Chrissy cards in untraditional colours.

Thanks for stopping by,

Christmas Candles

Hi Blogging Buddies,

I have some more candles made today.
I still have nine more to go...but can only seem to do them in about lots of four...
and then I feel the need to take a break.

These ones are pink and the stamps I used on them were angels and snowflakes so they are actually Christmas candles, but in an untraditional colour. I wrapped them in cellophane and tied a pink ribbon around the top.

I would like to enter them in a few challenges:

Simon Says Stamp - Let it Snow
Crafty Catz - Christmas
Miami Doodles - Gift Items
Fussy and Fancy - Christmas with no red or green
Totally Papercrafts - Untraditional Christmas
Magical Monday - Let it Snow
The ABC Challenge - I is for Ice and Snow
C.R.A.F.T - Christmas Present

Just having an easy day today...trying to do a bit of DT work.
Hope you have had a restful weekend.

Baptism Cards

Hi Blogging Buddies,
I had a request from my brother's girlfriend to make her two Baptism cards. One for a boy and one for a girl. These are the first Baptism cards I have ever made...I didnt have any stamps or digis that were suitable so I just used some pictures from the internet. I couldn't decide what was the most important image to put on the card...a cross, a pram...so in the end I decided to go with the four boxes so there was room for everything.

For the boy card I chose blue and yellow colours and for the girl card I went for pink and yellow.

Copics Used:
Blues:B05, BG05, BG01, B02, B00
Pinks: RV06, RV04, RV02, RV23
Green for leaves: YG23
Yellow for button: Y08
Greys for cross: C-1, C-3, C-5
Outlines: BG10 (Boy) R11 (Girl)

Again, no challenges...not much around other than Chrissie challenges at the moment.

Today I did some whipper snipping and trimming out in the garden. Then I went into town and had afternoon tea with my cousin. It was lovely...hot chocolate and brownie with ice-cream, yum!
Hope you are having a nice weekend.

Pink Engagement Cards...

Hi Blogging Buddies,

I had a request to make some Engagement Cards...not something I make a lot of. I tracked down this gorgeous digi from Designed to Delight and I added the Congratulations sentiment to the bottom of the image before I printed it out. I love this verse from the bible written into the image...we had it at our wedding as I am sure many people did. I made four cards...all slightly different and the lady I made them for ordered two...so that means two for the stash.

I have about 10 sheets of the main DP I used so it felt good to finally use a sheet of this! I bought it for wedding cards...although you really can't see much of it as I covered it up with more pink, silver and black.

I didn't colour too much of the image just the love-hearts, roses and the dove.
Copics used:
Pinks: RV02, RV13, RV43,
Greys: C-1, C-3, C-5
I used Kindy-Glitz on the bird cage...but you can't see it too well in the photos.

No challenges for these cards today.
Thanks for stopping by,

Closing Down Sale and new Kitchen Chairs

Hi Blogging Buddies,

Sadly The Craft Garden is closing its doors and having closing down sale. I will be so sad to see this little shop go because I love the Prima products it stocks and I have loved being on the Design Team. There are a few bits and pieces to be sold at very cheap prices so if you would like to get some last chance Prima flowers, papers, butterflies or rub-ons head on over to The Craft Garden Store...but you had better be quick!

A few days ago I bought some new Kitchen chairs for our bench and I promised to show some photos.

Here is a before shot with the old Kitchen chairs...we did have four but one broke and so it was out in the shed.

And here is the after shot. Do you like them? I do!

It has motivated me to start thinking about some small renovations for the kitchen. My sister found these chairs for me in a new shop that has opened up in town. It is called 1825 Interiors and it is absolutely divine!!! Their website is here if you want to take a little peak. They have stores only in Australia. It is definately my sister's and my new favourite shop. I am probably going to order a new bed as well because their products are such great quality and such affordable prices. If you know the store Everyday Living it is the wholesaler for that store who have started their own retail shop...but not as expensive as Everyday Living!! It is like heaven on a stick walking into that store....I love it!! Imagine how dangerous it would be to work there! Maybe I could see about working part-time...that would be nice!! Maybe you would get a good discount....

No card to share tonight...but plenty to be made...I better get into it.
Thanks for visiting.

Teacher Thank You/Christmas Cards and Matching Bookmarks

Hi Blogging Buddies,

I was thinking that it might be a good time to sell some teacher Thank you/Christmas cards. It is getting to the end of the school year in Australia and sometimes parents are looking for a little gift to give their child's teacher as a way of saying thank you for teaching their child for the year and to wish the teacher a Merry Christmas.

I used Meljen Designs images to make a card and a bookmark. I made them in traditional Christmas colours and coloured with Copics.

The colours I used are:

Reds: RV29, R46, R59
Greens: YG63, YG03, YG11
Browns: E37, E33
Pink: RV02
Cool Shadow:BG10

The book mark is decorated on both sides. The front says "I love my teacher" and on the back there is lines for the child to write the teacher a message. This way the teacher will always remember who gave them the gift.

I would like to enter these in the following challenges:
The Crazy Challenge - Thank you or Thanksgiving
Creative Card Crew - Lets Give Thanks
Stamp Something - Something with Thanks
Our Creative Corner - Create a Holiday 3D project
Saturday Challenge - Hand made Christmas Gifts
4 Crafty Chicks - Anything but a Card
I did it Creations - Traditional Christmas Colours

I went a bit overboard on all the photos included in this post : )
It took me so long to make them all....I was a bit snap happy when I had finished!!

If you have made it all the way down here you have done well! Lol
The new kitchen chairs look fabulous! I am so happy with them and will post a photo of them soon. We are hopefully lawn mowing today as our grass is out of control! But Ben has to fix the lawn mower again before we can start. Every time I get on it something goes wrong with it....maybe a message telling me not to mow! Ben will probably mow and I will either whipper snip or use the round-up...all of the burrs are changing over. The winter ones are dieing off and the summer ones are coming up. The winter ones are all getting stuck in Ellie's coat and I have to brush her everyday to get them out. Our lawn out the front we planted by seed in March is finally coming through - so very exciting! Just have to get the weeds out of the way now so it can hopefully take over! Lots to do outside...honestly how good it would be if you could just stay home and work on the house and yard and get paid for it!
Hope your Sunday is fun, thanks for visiting.

Two Male B'day Cards and some photos...

Hi Blogging Buddies,

Its my brother-in-law's b'day on Monday so I thought I would have a go at a Male card. Well, I made 2 actually...figured another one of these would come in handy soon.
I coloured with Copics: W-1, W-3, W-5 and W-7. I distressed all the edges.

Thought I might enter it in:
A Spoon full of Sugar - Distressing
Stampavie and More - Monochrome
Frosted designs - Distressing

Now for some photos...Dad wanted me to take a photo of some baby Willy-wag tails that are in a nest at his place. There were three babies...but one jumped out of the nest and this one you can see is standing on top of his brother or sister.

Also our Jacaranda trees are starting to flower so I took a photo this afternoon.

I had a lovely day in town...I bought some new kitchen chairs...very exciting! Will hopefully pick them up tomorrow...will have to take a photo to show you!
